Kitchen Door holds such a special place in my heart, and finally getting to dine at their downtown Napa location felt like a full circle moment for me. I used to live in Hawai'i, and when Kitchen Door expanded to Ewa Beach in Oahu, it quickly became one of my favorite spots. It was more than just a restaurant, it was a little taste of my beloved Napa. Master Sommelier Chuck Furuya even hosted his wine tasting classes there, and those evenings were always so fun to attend.
So when I heard Kitchen Door had opened a beautiful new space in downtown Napa, I was beyond excited to experience it here. The restaurant itself is stunning. The kitchen is open, the energy is buzzing, and the bar is absolutely gorgeous. It feels modern and fresh, but still warm and inviting - my kinda spot when I just want to fill my belly and soul with comfort and flavor.
The food is exactly what Kitchen Door does best: cozy dishes with a global fusion twist. The menu makes it impossible to choose just one direction, so we leaned into the best approach and ordered a little bit of everything. We had the Pad Thai, Korean short ribs, and a duck banh mi, each dish packed with flavor. We also started with deviled eggs and flatbread topped with burrata, which were the perfect shareable bites to kick things off.
What I love most about Kitchen Door is how perfect it is for dining with a group. Everyone can find something they’re craving, whether you want something comforting, something bold, or something lighter and fresh. It’s the kind of menu that makes sharing fun and effortless.
Kitchen Door will always remind me of my time in Hawai'i, but experiencing it in Napa made it even more special. If you’re looking for a downtown Napa spot that feels cozy, vibrant, and deliciously different, this is one you cannot miss.
