There’s nothing better than finding a coffee shop that feels like an easy yes, and Journey Coffee Co. has quickly become one of those spots for me.
Tucked along Old Sonoma Road (in the former Southside area), Journey is in the perfect location. It’s the kind of place you can swing by for a quick espresso before hitting the highway, or make a full morning out of it if you have the time. Either way, it just works.
The staff was unbelievably kind - not just polite, but truly welcoming. You can tell Journey is built around community, and it really shows in the way they treat people.
Of course, I had to try a little bit of everything. Coffee-wise, hands down one of the best in Napa Valley. I’m a medium-roast gal, and the espresso-based drinks were not overly roasted nor flowery - just perfect. The food was just as good. The hand pie was hands-down the favorite (I’m still thinking about it), the bacon egg + gouda for a classic breakfast sandwich moment, and the veggie + egg wrap when you want something a little lighter but still filling.
One of the best parts of this location is the patio. It’s large, shaded, and has plenty of tables, which makes it such a great spot to bring your laptop and work for a bit while keeping the coffee coming.
To sum it up, Journey is the kind of place that makes mornings better: great drinks, delicious breakfast, and genuinely warm people. If you’re looking for a new Napa coffee stop (or just need a reason to take the long way down Old Sonoma Road), this one’s worth it.
